Harmony Prim is a primary adhesion of the aqueous phase to a porous support or sorbent - type screed, under-floor heating, plaster or concrete prior to the application of Harmony Waxed Concrete or Harmony Spray mortar.
Harmony Primer is a water-based, solvent-free synthetic acrylic styrene copolymer resinbased bonding primer for application to screed, heated floors, rendering or concrete.
Harmony Primer enhances cohesion and improves the hydration of renderings.

The base surface must be resistant, sound, solid, clean, dry and free of humidity.
Use Harmony Neutral Agent or Harmony Degreaser for any cleaning required (to remove grease, oil etc).
It is essential to establish whether the base surface is porous or non-porous.
To do this, apply a few drops of water to the surface concerned. If the water is absorbed, the base surface is porous. If not, it is classified as non-porous.
On a porous base surface, apply Harmony Primer, and on a non-porous base surface, apply Harmony Primer Plus.
On a wet base surface, such as a shower, sink, washbasin or, more generally, any porous base surface (plaster, timber, syporex, BA 13, etc.) which is in regular contact with water and has not been sealed beforehand, Harmony Epoxy Primer or Harmony waterproof under-sealer should be applied.
Apply glass-fibre reinforcing strips at corners.
Application must be completed within a temperature range of 5° - 25°.
For anhydrite screeds, check that the humidity level is consistent with recommendations (max 2%).
Harmony Primer is supplied ready for use, and must not be diluted.
Apply uniformly to the base surface using a roller, with no excess thickness and leaving no gaps. For large surface areas, use the 250 or 500 mm PermaPro special floor nozzle.
Drying time: 30 minutes - 2 hours, depending upon the type of base surface and the ambient temperature.
Once touch dry, Harmony Primer is ready to be covered.
On a highly porous base surface, such as anhydrite screed, a second coat should be applied.
