Broomed concrete
Broomed concrete is created by manually brushing the surface of the concrete as it begins to set, forming parallel grooves that enhance both traction and visual appeal.
These fine grooves, made with a specific broom, make the concrete slip-resistant, ideal for outdoor surfaces where safety is a priority.
Depending on the desired result and site accessibility, you can use a broom with a standard handle or a 1.83-meter (6-foot) extendable handle.
Easy to apply, with great decorative potential, broomed concrete is perfect for public projects (sidewalks, park paths, roundabouts, parking lots, etc.) or private installations (driveways, pool surrounds, courtyards, etc.).
When applying broomed concrete, it is highly recommended—like with any outdoor concrete slab—to spray a curing agent to prevent surface cracking or fissures.
To ease the application of the concrete, we recommend using our fluidifying admixture for better workability.
